Self-professed "Brit-Funk revival" band STR4TA release their debut album Aspects, following their first singles 'Vision 9', and 'Aspects'. Led by long time friends and collaborators, Gilles Peterson and Jean-Paul “Bluey” Maunick, Aspects is a funk-soul experience that transports retro sounds of funk and jazz into a more modern dimension. 'Dance Desire' is the third track in on the new record. It begins with flute and airy phaser effects that are continued on by the psychedelic synth, followed by uptempo drums and vibrant bass-playing which create a wonderful dance-throbbing groove. Piano chords, illusive synths and hallucinatory guitar lines intermingle for an otherworldly sound. 'Dance Desire' has made us want to put our dancing shoes on again. -Ellie Rose-Davies
